Sassy Mommas Sound Off – May 24th Event (Update: 2008 May 15 Event)

There’s nothing I love better than sassy broads having their say.

If you happen to be the in BK (Brooklyn, NY) on Thursday, May 24,  at 8 p.m., check out Brooklyn Reading Works‘,  Edgy Mother’s Day Event at the Old Stone House which features readings from three of my favorite moms:

Louise Crawford – A fabulous sistah, writer/blogger, and organizer of the reading series.   Totally supportive of writers of all stripes.  Her 2nd Annual Brooklyn Blogfest was smashingly successful, drawing a crowd of over 100 bloggers –new, old and wannabe.   The event was covered by the New York Times,  WNBC-TV and News Channel 12.  In other words, she rocks and rules!

“Mrs.  Cleavage”  – a.k.a. Mary Warren.  A smart, funny, poignant and insightful blogger.   Her work is a real treat.

Michele Madigan Somerville – a friend and an award-winning poetess who throws a great St. Pat’s Day party.
