I’m going to be a big girl about this. I’m not going to cry or whine. What happened was a good thing. He deserved to win. I liked him too but not as much as the other guy. *Sigh* Oh, yeah, I guess I should tell you, Mito won the second season of MTV’s From G’s to Gents.(Tuesdays, 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific)
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I had the opportunity to chat with Blue recently, and he won me over with his sincerity. (Click here for article) I wanted him to win. I just knew he would win. But when it came right down to it — down the the final two after Teddy was eliminated by last season’s winner and runner-up, Creepa and Shoda — it was clear that Mito was the front runner.
For the last challenge, the men had to write and deliver a speech expressing why they should win admission to the “Gentleman’s Club” and the $100,000 grand prize. Blue was good. But Mito was great. He, an ex-felon, said that he had always asked for forgiveness and but hadn’t forgiven himself. Mito said his win would give hope to all those inside and outside of lock-down. And would give honor to the older men, mentors of a sort, who helped him survive his prison experience.
Even I couldn’t help but be moved by the strength and determination conveyed in Mito’s speech.
What about Blue?
Don’t worry about Blue. He also gained admission to the “Gentleman’s Club” but more importantly, he, who was homeless, was given an apartment, a place of his own, for one year and some money to get started. And it was revealed during From G’s to Gents: After the Final Chapter, Blue is enrolled in school.
Looks like both men are winners.
I Knew You Would Want to Know
During From G’s to Gents: After the Final Chapter, Tia, Teddy’s girlfriend and real life ‘ho (Yes, dude is…was a pimp for real.), revealed that Teddy not only had not changed his ways, but he had become worse. Tia claimed that when she told Teddy she was pregnant, he told her that “he did bit have a baby by no ‘ho”. In response to Teddy’s rejection, Tia had an abortion.
In his own defense, Teddy told Bentley that he had changed, found legitimate work and presented him with payroll check stubs to prove it. Bentley didn’t really know what to think and just hoped that Teddy was telling the truth.
On a much brighter note…
After having received, in hand, the $100,000 check, which was presented to him by last year’s winner Creepa (a.k.a Thaddeus Martin), Mito proposed to his girlfriend who is the mother of his toddler son. She, of course, accepted.
Now that’s a true gentleman.
