Yes, I was there. Live and in person at the press conference for MTV’s Making the Band 4, season 3 finale, Making the Band 4: The Final Chapter, which premiered Thursday night.
Don’t be jealous. It doesn’t become you. If you must hate, I, the demi-deity that I am, will forgive you.
Here are some pics of your Making the Band favs (or mine at least):
Your girl and mine, Aubrey O’Day was there. Truth talking as always. She was wearing a great dress by designer Zac Posen. If you dare, you can follow Aubrey on Twitter or visit her website. (I will talk more about Aubrey in an upcoming post.)
It doesn’t seem that Shannon will be returning to music anytime soon. She created and blogs for a social networking site for girls, IAmFrenzy.com.
D Woods is working on a single to be released this summer. And she is exploring film and television projects. At the taping of the live finale, she was the most vocal about not returning to DK should there be an offer on the table. The fans were not happy with what she had to say and started to boo. Ouch!! On a lighter note: You can visit D Woods’ website, The New Miss D Woods. Or check her out on Twitter at YaGirlDWoods.
Dawn is still on the Bad Boy label (Her fellow groupmates were released from their contracts). She will be on Diddy’s next album, Last Train to Paris. She, Diddy, and singer/songwriter Kalenna, have formed the group, Dirty Money. In addition to singing, she is also doing some songwriting and is working on a Danity Kane comic book. Check out Dawn on Twitter.
You can’t talk about Dawn without mentioning Que of the R&B/Hip Hop group Day 26. She was his rock, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen. She was the voice of reason during the whole Making the Band 4 madness. During the finale and afterwards at the press conference, Que apologized for his behavior. Watching Day 26 together, both on and off stage, you get a sense that they are truly brothers in song and spirit. To check out Day 26 on Twitter, click here.
Oh by the way, Day 26’s sophomore album, Forever in a Day, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top R&B and Hip Hop Albums” chart and currently #2 on the Hot 200 Albums chart. Forever in a Day features the hit single, Imma Put It On Her (feat. Yung Joc and Diddy) which the group performed live at the finale.
And then there is dear sweet Donnie Klang. He’s touring and still trying to find that breakout single that will take him to the top. As for a sophomore album, that won’t be happening anytime soon. But, Donnie has announced that he has signed with superagent William Morris and is exploring TV and film projects.
Where was Aundrea, you ask? It’s anyone’s guess. She decided not to show up for undisclosed personal reasons.
